Tuberculosis Screening
TB screening tests are sometimes used as part of routine examinations prior to starting a new school or a new job. Tuberculosis is an infectious bacterial disease which is spread through the air from one person to another with the most notable symptom to be excessive coughing.
While TB has been somewhat under control in the United States, those who travel abroad are at higher risks of contracting the infection and bringing it back and spreading TB to their homes, families and surroundings.
The two types of TB Testing are Tuberculin Skin Test and TB Blood Test.
